Kassia Flux - St Bartholomew the Great

St Bartholomew the Great

London's oldest parish church

Sound artist, composer and scientist who forages and forges material from her surroundings, integrating it with her electric violin, voice and other instruments. Kassia Flux has produced a work which engages with the 4th dimension [= time] to embody the history,

space and community within the ancient church of St Bartholomew The Great.

St Bartholomew the Great is London’s oldest parish church, built when Henry I, son of William the Conqueror, was King of England. It survived the Great Fire of 1666 and bombings in both World War I’s Zeppelin raids and during the Blitz in World War II.
