As Smithfield 150 is shaping up to be London’s Biggest Birthday Party, we’re thrilled that we were able to join forces with creative agency Anyways and illustrator Abbey Lossing to develop the creative for our two day family festival spectacular.
The finished design celebrates the iconic market’s 150th anniversary and reflects the diversity of London’s audiences – mirroring some of the 20,000 people we’re hoping to see over the weekend.
In addition, the Smithfield 150 logo was inspired by found typography from the Victorian Market’s original signs, developed by Toucan signs in South East London. Further to this, entertainment marketing agency AKA delivered a family-focused animated trailer to further build awareness and buzz around the event (which you can see below).
You’ll hopefully be seeing the result on the Underground, in newspapers and magazines and online very soon, if you haven’t already!
