Listen to the highlight reel

Listen to the full show

Billy Mann is our Local Legend, we meet Brookemorgan Henry-Rennie & Square Mile Foodbank volunteer Ricky reviews Ruby Murrays. Listen to a Live Report from Liz Wright, Scottee's Voicenotes with Strangers, plus a chat with Adeola Gbakinro.

Local Legend Billy Mann has lived on the Golden Lane Estate for more than 20 years. He is membership secretary of the Golden Baggers allotment group, and a Housing Hero and Community Builder for City of London Corporation. At City Matters - voice for residents of the City of London - Billy writes a monthly column called The Golden Lane Gazette.

Brookemorgan Henry-Rennie is the Founder of She Oath, a charity launched with the aim to instill confidence in young women - authentic confidence, internal confidence. “You need to be able to laugh at yourself, cry with yourself and pick yourself right back up again and continue to chase the dream, whatever that looks like for you”.

Ricky Broome reviews Ruby Murrays in the Food Review. Ricky is a volunteer at Square Mile Food Bank.

We join Liz Wright, 83, for a Live Report. Liz hardly knew her neighbours until lockdown. Her husband Albert sadly passed away a few years ago.

Scottee & Friends present a six part audio project as part of Hunt & Darton’s Radio Local.  Voicenotes with Strangers allows you to overhear intimacy during social distancing. From Avon Ladies celebrating their 30th to Insurance Brokers getting attacked by their cats - this is what getting to know someone you’ve never met sounds like.

We speak to Adeola Gbakinro, UpliftTNG  Founder, Speaker, Commonwealth Associate Fellow and Digital Freelancer. Uplift TNG (Uplift The Next Generation) connect young people aged 13-19 from diverse ethnic & disadvantaged backgrounds with professionals through workshops & conferences.
