Pop-ups: Moor Lane Garden

Published: July 19, 2017

The first in a series of pop-up gardens commissioned by the City of London, the Moor Lane pop-up garden improves the environment in more ways than one – adding a splash of green to the city’s streets, whilst also helping to improve the quality of it’s air.

Built by volunteers from Friends of City Gardens, designed by Studio Xmple, commissioned as part of the Low Emission Neighbourhood Project which is jointly funded by the City of London Corporation and the Mayor of London. The launch of the garden coincided with the UK’s first National Clean Air Day, which aims to raise awareness about the harmful effects of air pollution and educate about how to reduce exposure to it.
