Hang out in an inclusive and relaxed under fives area curated by MOTHERBRUNCH – open to all parents/carers of young children. Take part in creative, arts-led activities and feast on healthy food. Drop in activities include artist workshops, pilates, live musicians, a dedicated baby area and lots more.

MOTHERBRUNCH snack boxes

MOTHERBRUNCH will offer complimentary snack boxes filled with some healthy but delicious treats to help sustain your little ones. Choose from savoury (raw/roasted vegetables, crackers and dip) or sweet (oatcakes, labneh and fruit). Swing by and pick up a nutritious treat.

MOTHERBRUNCH Edible Fruit Jewellery workshop

Come and make a simple and edible piece of jewellery using various fruits threaded on coloured cord. Create a masterpiece fit for a day of birthday celebrations – and what’s better than one you can eat?

Day Job Studio collage workshop

Artists Charlotte Mei and Katie Johnston from Day Job Studio presents arts and craft workshops with a summer garden party theme. Join in with still life drawing/collage on Saturday using colourful paper shapes and crayons. Take home bold and playful artworks inspired by summery flowers, fruits and props.

Art/Science workshop with OKIDO

Explore the wonder of art and science with OKIDO. Come and create your own spinning paintings and help grow an OKIDO forest of colour, then, create your own scientific bubble solution and fill it with beautiful bubbles.

Monoprinting workshop with Eva Lerche Lerchenborg

Artist Eva Lerche-Lerchenborg will run a drop-in monoprinting workshop relating to the themes of the festival and the surrounding area of Smithfield. The monoprints will form a kind of blue-print, further linking to the history of the place.

Baby area

Our MOTHERBRUNCH baby area will provide a space to hang and relax for those with children under 18 months of age. This will include toys, picnic blankets/pillows for breastfeeding or feeding and a baby changing area.
