The proposed Centre for Music has recently announced the shortlist of world class architects competing to develop the concept design for the state-of-the-art building of acoustic and visual excellence. The preferred site for the landmark building is the Museum of London’s current site on London Wall.
At the heart of the vision for the Centre for Music are proposals for a world-class concert hall for the digital age and an ambitious, educational offer to bring music-making to the widest possible audience.
The City of London Corporation has pledged up to £2.5m to complete the detailed business case for the project.
Work on the business case is ongoing and will be completed by December 2018.
