A community-led responsive season of programmes, initiatives and events that will transform where we live and work.
The global coronavirus pandemic has meant many of us have felt our worlds shrink. For some, this is not a new reality, for others it’s a stark change. For all of us, our lives feel more local than ever.
The new normal has prompted Culture Mile to revaluate its interaction with the surrounding area, forge new relationships and reframe how a cultural organisation can and should support those in its immediate vicinity.
Over the next six months, Culture Mile will work closely with and respond to the challenges of its local community.
IMAGINE is a key component of this work; aiming to proactively and fundamentally shift Culture Mile's contribution to and vision for the area in a lasting way.

Responding to the needs of local residents and our partner schools while deepening engagement and relevancy.
We’re commissioning new work to engage with less visible neighbouring communities within the local area. The Imagine Commissions will eventually fund a series of grassroots projects, both nominated by Culture Mile's core partners and workshopped and grown through the Imagine Fund's seed funding.
Breakfast Club worked with groups of service users from the charity Women for Refugee Women to create music that explores their unique identity & experiences, while imagining new futures.
