Stephanie is a London-based artist born in Hong Kong. Her style is influenced by the early 20th century paintings by naive artist L.S Lowry and her works’ composition is based on photography as a starting point.
Stephanie’s subjects are both inspired on the reality observed by the artist as well as on choreographed scenes.
In this painting, the artist depicts a large number of small human figures, all socialising together and highlighting the importance of human’s connection and togetherness.
Appearing to be floating freely on the background, every single figure is carefully placed on the canvas. Just like in a musical piece, the artist creates a rhythmical composition, relating with the viewer.
