75 Year 7 pupils from City of London School for Girls took part in the project. The pupils enjoyed researching the archives of their local area, especially seeing the uniforms pupils from their school would have worn many years ago.
Artist Lauren Veevers’ workshop encouraged them to record spaces that are meaningful to them through drawing and collage. Exercises included drawing with their weakest hand or from memory. In a later lesson, teachers supported pupils to refine their work by adding additional details or materials. Collage was a popular medium to work in and resulted in a vibrant collection of colourful pieces.
