City Business Library is the only public library for business information offering free access to the UK’s most comprehensive collection of business databases and publications. The library includes general start up advice, information on market research, national and international coverage for statistics, company data and business news.
Library staff can provide advice on all areas of business, including careers, CVs and working in business abroad.
The City Business Library is committed to supporting enterprise learning and training for not-for-profit organisations that are interested in understanding more about enterprise, entrepreneurship, starting a business, and market research for businesses.
As part of this commitment, CBL offers free market research and/or business start-up training to a wide range of organisations including schools, colleges, universities, charities and community groups. Tailored group sessions can take place at the Library or where you are.
If you're thinking of becoming self-employed, starting a new business, or expanding your business, the City Business Library hosts a range of seminars aimed at helping new and existing businesses, on online marketing, networking, social media, presentations, and more. All seminars are run by independent consultants, staff, or business support organisations.
